Thank you to everyone who took part in this year’s Rent Consultation for 2026/2027. We want to keep tenants fully informed about the outcome of this year’s Rent Consultation and to share the feedback you provided. This year, 254 tenants responded, meaning 21% of households took part. As the report confirms, “211 tenants chose the 5.5% increase… 31 tenants chose the 6% increase… 12 tenants said they did not support either option.
Your feedback was carefully reviewed by our Board on 16 February 2026, alongside rising costs, investment needs, and legal and regulatory requirements. After considering all factors, the Board approved a 5.5% rent increase for 2026/2027. As the consultation outcome explains, the Board aimed to “strike a careful balance between affordability for tenants and the need to continue delivering high‑quality homes and services.” We want to thank everyone who took the time to participate, your views directly shape our decisions, and we remain committed to keeping you informed and involved as we plan for the year ahead.
