Children aged 2, 3 and 4 years old who live in Renfrewshire are eligible

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library free book‑gifting programme began in the UK in 2008, following Dolly Parton’s 2007 announcement in London. Its mission is to inspire a lifelong love of reading in children.

The programme sends a high‑quality, age‑appropriate book every month to children from birth to age five. Each book is personally addressed, carefully packaged, and delivered free of charge to families.

Books include a wide variety of titles—classic stories, rhymes, picture books, non‑fiction, and brand‑new publications—carefully selected to support early literacy and enjoyment.

The initiative is made possible through collaboration with local partners across the UK, who work with The Dollywood Foundation to bring the Imagination Library to their communities.
