The Tannahill Centre is a community -run hub in the centre of Ferguslie Park.
Accessible to the whole community it has a Doctors Surgery, NHS Clinic, Pharmacy,
Library, Nursery and Post Office. The Centre also directly manages a number of
community spaces and a community café.
We have recently been awarded funding from the Aspiring Communities Fund (ACF)
with support from the European Social Fund (ESF) to work alongside a number of
community groups including Active Communities and YoMo. This consortium will
work together to build the skills, knowledge and confidence of local people so they
can deliver and sustain new and existing services in Ferguslie Park. As part of our
contribution to the work of the consortium, the Tannahill Centre is recruiting a
Volunteer Co-ordinator, 35 hours per week
£24,321 - £25,859 (fixed term for 12 months)
As the Volunteer Co-ordinator you will be responsible for building the skills,
knowledge and confidence of volunteers so that they can give back to their
community whilst also meeting their own personal goals and ambitions.
You will be responsible for implementing policies, procedures and practices within
the Tannahill Centre so that those who volunteer with us are doing so in a safe and
nurturing environment and you will work with groups and individuals so they can
develop and share their skills with their community.
This role is fixed term for 12 months however it is our intention to secure funding to
sustain the role beyond this date.
